Houston, TX Indian Wedding by Biyani Photography

We were happy as could be when Disha and Vijay’s glorious, technicolor wedding landed on our desks. The couple’s sweet love story was celebrated with a wedding that was worthy of their courtship. Their festivities were bursting with the most incredible design elements dreamed up by the floral and decor team at Mandap Creations and planners from Electric Karma. The weekend blasted off in full force with Disha and Vijay’s jewel toned Sangeet treat with invitations created by Customizing CreativityMandap Creations festooned NOAH's Event Venue - Sugar Land ballroom with marvelous, bold colors. The bold fuchsias, pinks, and violets popped so beautifully. The evening was chock full of jubilant performances, and the couple was captivated by each and every number as they sat on their regal chaise! Maharani Disha glowed like a goddess in her richly embroidered coral lehenga and side swept waves. The evening ended in the best way possible: With Disha and Vijay rocking out on the dance floor to beats by Dhol Beat international  - DJ Josan! Hurry over to the full gallery by Biyani Photography for all the stellar moments from this razzle dazzle filled Sangeet. We can’t wait for the video footage by Tall ProductionsWe’ll be back in a flash to cover all the duo’s ceremony deets as they become Mr. and Mrs!

Irvine, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa

Today, we’re bringing you readers a visual treat with Avie & Deepak’s black tie, New Year’s Eve reception gala. The duo brought on BEL Events to take care of planning and design details for their gorgeous Indian wedding affair. As the bride and groom made their triumphant entrance to the Hotel Irvine, the spacious quarters shined with refinement. The venue dazzled guests thanks to the magical touch of floral and decor aficionados from Three Petals and lighting gurus from 3D Sounds. Every image captured by Lin & Jirsa left us wanting more. Ever the fashionista, Avie’s sparkling champagne reception ensemble reflected the fun and excitement of her elegant, New Year’s Eve reception soiree! Nick Datwani ensured that the venue was bouncing with euphoric beats, with guests ringing in the new year with streaming confetti and sparklers. Every reception detail was painstakingly executed, and shades of white, blush and gold bathed the space. The duo had an absolute ball throughout every moment of the weekend. Avie told us, “We loved the fact that we could cross something else off our list - spending NYE with ALL of our dear ones!” Sounds like a once in a lifetime experience! We have all the action packed photos for you to enjoy in our full gallery captured by Lin & Jirsa.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

We truly loved spending time with all of our vendors. We were so fortunate enough to work with a group of such talented people who put their heart and soul into creating our special day with us. Even during all the events, we had the best time with our vendors and we're so grateful that we were able to connect with all of them and form lifelong friendships.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

The fact that our wedding and reception were split up into two days with the reception being on New Year's Eve!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

The fact that my dog, Cosmo was a part of our special day. He truly was a trooper and looks so handsome in all our pictures together. We also loved the fact that we could cross something else off our guest list - spending NYE with ALL of our dear ones.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

I believe that it's easy to get so lost in wedding planning that the couple forgets that the end goal is just being able to marry your special someone and not the tiny details of getting there. Enjoy wedding planning but don't let it consume you and your significant other because it truly takes away from all the magic.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

We wanted to leave our guests with something memorable especially since we were ringing in the New Year and wanted to start the year off right - instead of typical party favors, we donated to two charities very close to our hearts (Pet Rescue Center and Olive Crest) on behalf of our guests.

Have a good evening Maharanis!

Irvine, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa

We were dazzled as we entered the Hotel Irvine venue, and are swooning over every single sparkling part of Avie & Deepak’s wedding event overseen by the planning gurus at BEL Events. The couple’s love story was brimming with all sorts of sweetness. After the duo’s second meeting, sparks were flying, and here we are unveiling all the details of their lavish wedding! There’s not a moment to miss, and luckily Lin & Jirsa was there to capture every magical detail. The masterful floral and decor team from Three Petals and lighting experts from 3D Sounds created a champagne and blush mandap and stage set up that was the stuff of fairytale dreams. The bride was a ray of light in a rich, burgundy lehenga and golden accessories. Her Bollywood glamour bridal look by Dolled up by Lulu was the height of chicness. After the palla was pinned in place, it was time for Avie to wow her guests. She floated down the candle and petal strewn aisle under a floral canopy to her elated Raja! Irvine, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa

There are some weddings that make our jaws drop instantly. From the couture bridal fashions, sensational wedding decor, and gorg couple, Avie & Deepak’s wedding was one dazzling, fairytale weekend. We love pre-ceremony shots, and Lin & Jirsa captured some Vogue worthy shots on the grounds of the Hotel Irvine. The stone columns and lush greenery were the perfect contrast to Avie’s glamour goddess choice of a gold and cranberry lehenga and bombshell hair and makeup by Dolled up by Lulu. Also taking center stage in all of these incredible images was adorable Cosmo, Avie’s precious puppy. We love Cosmo hanging out in these high octane, luxurious photos. We also adored witnessing Avie & Deepak’s first look. This playful duo are a match made in heaven! These two may not have gotten off on the best foot (scroll below to read about how they met.) but soon they were having deep, late night phone calls until the wee hours of the morning. For a celebration of this magnitude, it is imperative to hire the right wedding planner and in this case, BEL Events pulled together every sensational detail. With 3D Sounds in charge of lighting duties and Three Petals handling design of the multiple events, you won’t want to miss a beat of the festivities that we have coming right up. While you wait, head into our full gallery and immerse yourself in all the beauty.

Avie's Version of Their Love Story:

It was love at first sight... Well, not really. It was actually the opposite. I was introduced to Deepak by a mutual friend while he was DJing a friend's wedding in 2009. I had high expectations of him as a DJ because all I remember hearing back in high school was that Deepak is an amazing DJ. However, I wasn't a fan of the music he was playing during lunch so I asked him to play something better and instead of taking my request he totally blew me off!

Fast forward to a few months later at a mutual friend's engagement party where Deepak and I discovered that we had a lot in common while drinking many Midori sours throughout the night. After the engagement party, we connected via Facebook (of course) and Deepak thought he was so cool because he had thousand of friends on Facebook.

Deepak and I got closer over the next year and he officially asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentine's Day in 2011 in a Starbucks parking lot by UCI. Ever since then, Deepak and I have been inseparable and before I knew it, I was engaged to my best friend in 2015.

We have had a wonderful six year together and I can't wait to begin the next chapter of our lives!

Deepak's Version of Their Love Story:

So here's how it really goes..

Avie and I first met at a mutual friend's birthday dinner at BJ's and coincidentally were seated right across from each other. Being the nice guy that I am, I tried to strike up conversation with her, but she seemed uninterested.

We did meet again at a wedding I was DJing and instead of saying hi to me she said something that you never say to a dj: "I don't like the music you're playing." So, now you all know why I blew her off!

Our next encounter with each other was different, however…

I didn't understand why she didn't like me (I mean everyone else did!) so I made it a point to get to know Avie. We met again at a friend's engagement party and after a few midori sours (her, not me) and a couple black and cokes we were off to the races. We talked all night and she even got me to dance a little bit.

Over the next few weeks we stayed up until the sun came up talking on the phone and I even saw her India collect call commercial on TV and showed it to my mom. which you all will see soon enough. We started dating and I immediately saw my life starting to change in so many positive ways.

Last year I had the pleasure and privilege of asking Avie to marry me and she said yes (But then again, why wouldn't she).

I am blessed and excited for what this year and the future has in store for us!

Cute! All the beauteous ceremony deets coming right up!
